How to correctly use fish pond aerators in aquacul
At present, domestic and foreign aquaculture experts and technical personnel have reached a consensus to build a pollution-free and healthy aquaculture system through the combination of excellent cultivation of healthy seedlings, comprehensive regulation of aquaculture environment, feeding of efficient and high-quality feed, and scientific prevention and control of diseases. Our region mainly promotes shrimp and crab aquaculture, and its aquaculture technology is constantly improving and updating. The aquaculture mode has developed from semi precision farming to precision farming. Based on the precision farming mode, it is essential to use aerators. Regarding the use of aerators during high temperatures in summer, the following points are introduced:
1、 During the hot summer days, especially in fertile and phytoplankton rich aquaculture ponds, the aerator should be turned on for 2-3 hours. This is because on hot sunny days, the photosynthesis of phytoplankton is particularly strong, releasing a large amount of oxygen into the water. However, in aquaculture ponds with relatively fertile water, the transparency of the water is 20-30 centimeters deep, and photosynthesis is weak in the middle layer of the water due to the lack of light. The aerator has the function of lifting water upwards, and when turned on, it can form a vertical circulation flow in the aquaculture pond.
2、 During the day, the sunlight is strong and the temperature is high. In the evening, there is a sudden thunderstorm, and a large amount of low-temperature rainwater enters the aquaculture pond, causing the surface water temperature to drop sharply and the specific gravity to sink rapidly. The lower water rises due to the high temperature and specific gravity, and the water with higher dissolved oxygen in the upper layer is transferred to the lower layer, temporarily increasing the dissolved oxygen in the lower water, but it is quickly consumed, causing the dissolved oxygen in the entire pond to rapidly decrease, which can easily cause fish to float. Therefore, the aerator should be turned on in a timely manner. Another special note: It is generally not advisable to turn on the impeller aerator in the evening, as the photosynthesis of phytoplankton is about to stop and oxygen cannot be added to the water. After turning on, the dissolved oxygen in the upper and lower layers of water is evenly distributed, and the dissolved oxygen in the upper layer cannot be replenished after decreasing, while the dissolved oxygen in the lower layer is quickly consumed, which actually accelerates the speed of dissolved oxygen consumption in the entire aquaculture pond.
3、 If there is continuous rainy weather in summer, the photosynthesis of phytoplankton will be weak, and the supply of dissolved oxygen in the water will be insufficient, which can easily cause fish to float. It is necessary to turn on more aerators.
4、 The weather has been sunny for a long time without rain, and the water temperature in the aquaculture pond is high. Due to the large amount of feeding and the discharge of aquatic products, the water quality is too fertile, the transparency is poor, the organic matter in the water is high, and the dissolved oxygen in the upper and lower layers is crossed, resulting in a large "oxygen debt" in the lower layer. If new water is not added for a long time, it will cause water quality deterioration and result in oxygen deficiency and floating of aquatic products. At this time, it is necessary to turn on more aerators.
5、 In summer, aquaculture ponds often experience partial or complete floating of aquatic products due to hypoxia caused by dense aquaculture and oxygen consumption by other organisms. Therefore, it is best to turn on the aerator at 1-2 pm at night and stop it the next morning from 7-8 am when the sun comes out, so that phytoplankton can carry out photosynthesis and oxygen production smoothly, and the water products will not float before stopping.
6、 Turn on the impeller aerator 1-2 hours before and after feeding the feed. The impeller aerator agitates the water in the aquaculture pond to form a circulating flow. On the one hand, it can bring the taste of the feed to various parts of the pond, achieving a feeding effect. On the other hand, it can also make aquatic products form a condition reflection habit for feeding.
The above is the usage process of the aerator. We hope it can be helpful to everyone, and we also hope to share better technical experience for your reference.
